OSCILLATORS STUDY NOTE

An oscillator is an electronic circuit that produces a repetitive electrical signal without needing an external input signal. Think of it like a pendulum swinging back and forth continuously—the oscillator keeps generating waves of electricity all by itself. The circuit uses feedback, where part of the output signal returns to the input, causing the system to oscillate at a particular frequency.

Oscillators are everywhere in Nigerian technology. Your mobile phone uses oscillators to generate the radio waves that carry your calls and data. Without oscillators, there would be no GSM signals from MTN, Airtel, or Glo.
