Admission requirements for Estate Management & Valuation at Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Ekiti State.
The Minimum entry requirements into National Diploma (ND) in Estate Management and Valuation are Five (5) Credits passes in WASC/ NECO/ GCE O’level/SSCE/NABTEB Examination at not more than two (2) sittings. The subjects must include: 1. English Language; 2. Mathematics; 3. Economics; 4. Plus any one (1) of the basic science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science, Animal Husbandry, Health Science. 5. And any other one (1) of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agric. Science, Principles of Accounts/Book Keeping, Literature in English, Government/Civic Education, Commerce, Fine Arts, Basic Surveying, Further Mathematics, Technical Drawing or Woodwork.
Estate Management and Valuation is a four to five year undergraduate programme that equips students with knowledge in property valuation, real estate investment, land economics, urban planning, facilities management, and property law. Students learn to assess the monetary worth of land and buildings, manage residential and commercial properties, and advise clients on real estate transactions. The curriculum blends technical, legal, and financial principles to produce well-rounded property professionals. Graduates can pursue careers as estate surveyors and valuers, property developers, facilities managers, or real estate consultants. The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) regulate professional practice, making registration essential for career advancement in this field.
