Admission requirements for Estate Management & Valuation at Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Edo State.
You must have credit passes in five O'level subjects: Mathematics, English Language, one basic science subject (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology), and any two other subjects from Geography, Economics/Commerce, Technical Drawing, Fine Art, Woodwork, Literature, Metal Work, Principles of Accounts and Book Keeping, or Government. In summary, the four subjects above are compulsory, and you need to pick any two more subjects from the list of options to complete your five required credits.
Estate Management and Valuation is a four to five year undergraduate programme that equips students with knowledge in property valuation, real estate investment, land economics, urban planning, facilities management, and property law. Students learn to assess the monetary worth of land and buildings, manage residential and commercial properties, and advise clients on real estate transactions. The curriculum blends technical, legal, and financial principles to produce well-rounded property professionals. Graduates can pursue careers as estate surveyors and valuers, property developers, facilities managers, or real estate consultants. The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON) regulate professional practice, making registration essential for career advancement in this field.
