Administrative structure/function of sports

The administrative structure of sports at institutional level refers to how schools and colleges organize and manage their sporting activities. This includes the people, departments, and systems responsible for planning, running, and supervising sports programmes within educational settings.

At most Nigerian secondary schools, the sports director or physical education teacher heads the sports department. They work with coaches, athletes, and support staff to organize inter-house competitions, training schedules, and participation in external competitions.
