Push-pull amplifiers work like two workers taking turns carrying load. Two transistors work alternately—when one conducts (turns on), the other switches off. This reduces distortion and increases power output compared to single transistor designs. The complementary transistors handle positive and negative parts of the signal separately, making them efficient for driving speakers in audio systems.
Operational amplifiers (op-amps) are versatile integrated circuits that amplify voltage differences between two inputs. Found in Nigerian radio receivers and public address systems at churches and markets, op-amps provide high gain with external feedback control. They're excellent for audio amplification, signal conditioning, and mathematical operations.
