OCCUPATION STUDY NOTE

Occupation simply means the job or work you do to earn money and support yourself. Think of it as your daily business. Nigeria has three main types of occupations. Industrial occupations involve manufacturing goods in factories, like someone working at a textile mill in Kano producing fabrics. Commercial occupations involve buying and selling goods for profit, such as traders in Lagos markets or shop owners. Service occupations provide services to people, including teachers, doctors, nurses, and hairdressers.

Several factors determine what occupation you choose or get. Your education level matters greatly—doctors need university degrees while traders may need basic literacy.
