The exhaust manifold is made of cast iron and withstands extreme heat. Common silencers in Nigeria are absorption types that use fibreglass material, and reflective types that bounce sound waves back. Most Nigerian commercial vehicles like Dangote trucks use reactive silencers because they're durable and affordable.

The whole system prevents noise pollution, protects the environment by managing emissions, and improves engine performance. Without it, your vehicle would sound like a generator and create terrible fumes.
