Admission requirements for Industrial Design at Bamidele Olumilua University Of Edu. Science And Tech. Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Ekiti State.
Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits, and passes at not more than two sittings, at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent. Subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects from Sciences, Arts, and Social Sciences.
Industrial Design is a creative and technical programme that equips students with the skills to conceptualise, develop, and produce functional products that meet human needs. Students study product design, ergonomics, materials science, manufacturing processes, computer-aided design, and visual communication, blending artistic creativity with engineering principles throughout their training. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as product designers, packaging designers, furniture designers, and design consultants across Nigeria's growing manufacturing and consumer goods sectors. Opportunities also exist within advertising agencies, construction firms, and government agencies focused on industrial development. The Industrial Design Association of Nigeria, IDAN, provides professional networking and development opportunities for practitioners.
