The programme develops strong communication, analytical, and research skills relevant across multiple sectors. Graduates pursue rewarding careers as language teachers and lecturers in secondary schools and tertiary institutions, Arabic and Hausa translators for government agencies and international organisations, Islamic scholars and Sharia court judges, and broadcasters with media organisations serving Northern Nigerian audiences. Those entering teaching typically register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), which professionally regulates teaching practice nationwide.
