YABATECH requires five O&sq Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Fine Art/Visual Art/Biology/ Agric. Science/Clothing & Textile/Garment Design and any other two (2) subjects from: Government, Physics, Chemistry, Literature in English, Home Management, Home Economics, Commerce, Economics, Geography, Health Science, Food & Nutrition, CRK/IRK, Business Education, Civic Education, Technical Drawing, Yoruba/Hausa/Igbo Language and Office Practice.
Fashion Design and Clothing Technology is a dynamic programme that equips students with both creative and technical skills required to thrive in the textile and fashion industry. Students study pattern drafting, garment construction, textile science, fashion illustration, clothing production management, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum blends artistic creativity with industrial techniques, preparing graduates to meet the demands of Nigeria's growing fashion economy. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as fashion designers, clothing production managers, costume designers for the film industry, or textile entrepreneurs supplying the retail and export markets. The Clothing Designers Association of Nigeria and the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria provide professional platforms where graduates can network, gain recognition, and advance their careers within the industry.
