Admission requirements for Fashion Design & Clothing Technology at Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Benue State, Benue State.
Home Economics/Technical Drawing and any four (4) of the following: Fine Art, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, Clothing and Textiles, Literature in English, English Language, Home Management. At least a credit pass in English Language is compulsory.
Fashion Design and Clothing Technology is a dynamic programme that equips students with both creative and technical skills required to thrive in the textile and fashion industry. Students study pattern drafting, garment construction, textile science, fashion illustration, clothing production management, and entrepreneurship. The curriculum blends artistic creativity with industrial techniques, preparing graduates to meet the demands of Nigeria's growing fashion economy. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as fashion designers, clothing production managers, costume designers for the film industry, or textile entrepreneurs supplying the retail and export markets. The Clothing Designers Association of Nigeria and the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria provide professional platforms where graduates can network, gain recognition, and advance their careers within the industry.
