Technical Education is a dynamic programme that equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in vocational and technical instruction. Students explore curriculum development, workshop technology, technical drawing, electrical or mechanical systems, and pedagogy, preparing them to teach and train others in technical fields. The programme blends engineering principles with educational methodology, producing graduates who are versatile across multiple sectors. Career opportunities include teaching in technical colleges and polytechnics, working as curriculum developers with state ministries of education, serving as training officers in manufacturing companies, or pursuing roles with the Industrial Training Fund. Graduates may register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria and align with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria for professionally relevant pathways.
