Radiography is a four to five year undergraduate programme that trains students in the use of imaging technologies to diagnose and treat medical conditions. Students study anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, radiographic positioning, medical imaging techniques, ultrasound, computed tomography, and patient care management. The programme combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical placements in hospital radiology departments. Graduates are registered by the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria, which regulates professional practice nationwide. Career opportunities include working as diagnostic radiographers in public and private hospitals, sonographers in maternal and reproductive health centres, radiation therapists in oncology units, and medical imaging consultants in diagnostic centres.
