Mathematics., Introduction to Building Construction, Bricklaying/Block laying, Concreting, Wall, Floors and Ceiling Finishing, Joinery, Carpentary, Decorative Painting, Lining, Sign and Design, Wall Hanging, Colour Mixing/Matching and Glazing, Ceramics, Graphics Design, Graphic Printing, Basic Electricity.
Quantity Surveying is a five-year undergraduate programme that equips students with the technical and financial expertise required to manage construction costs and contracts. Students study subjects including building technology, construction economics, project management, land law, measurement of works, and procurement management. The programme blends engineering principles with financial analysis, preparing graduates to serve as cost consultants across Nigeria's rapidly growing built environment sector. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as quantity surveyors in construction firms, government ministries, real estate development companies, or establish independent consultancy practices. Professional registration with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) is essential for practising professionally and earning full recognition within the industry.
