Minimum of 5 Credits pass in GCE ‘O’ Level/SSCE/NECO/WASSCE in English Language, Mathematics and Biology and any other two subjects from the following: Government, Economics, Civic Education, History, Chemistry, Health Education, Commerce, Geography, Computer Science and Agricultural Science.
Psychology is a fascinating field that explores human behaviour, mental processes, and emotional functioning. Students examine core areas such as cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, abnormal psychology, social behaviour, research methods, and psychological assessment. The curriculum also incorporates counselling theories and neuropsychological foundations, equipping graduates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In Nigeria, psychology graduates pursue rewarding careers as clinical psychologists, human resource professionals, school counsellors, and organisational consultants across public and private sectors. Those practising clinically are expected to register with the Nigerian Council of Psychologists, while those entering counselling align with the Counselling Association of Nigeria.
