Admission requirements for Production Tech. at Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, Enugu State, Enugu State.
Five (5) SSC credit passes in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any three (3) of the following: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Nigerian Language, Home Economics. At least 'O' Level credit passes in English Language and Chemistry are compulsory.
Production Technology is a dynamic engineering discipline that equips students with technical knowledge and practical skills in the extraction, processing, and management of petroleum and solid minerals. Students study core subjects such as reservoir engineering, drilling operations, production optimization, fluid mechanics, and equipment maintenance, alongside foundational sciences and engineering principles. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue rewarding careers as petroleum production engineers, drilling engineers, facilities engineers, or technical consultants within Nigeria's vibrant oil and gas sector. Opportunities exist with major operators, indigenous companies, and government agencies like NUPRC. Registered engineers are expected to affiliate with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), which certifies professional competence and enhances career credibility across the industry.
