Admission requirements for Physical & Health Education (Double Major) at Federal College Of Education (Tech.), Umunze, Anambra State, Anambra State.
a)   a)     Senior secondary school certificate of WAEC or NECO or any other equivalent Certificate from recognized examination bodies with credit passes in five subjects including English Languages and Mathematics at not more than two sittings. b) b)  A grades II Teacher’s Certificate (TC II) with credit or merit in five (5) subjects. Credits/Merits in English language and Mathematics.Â
Physical and Health Education (Double Major) is a dynamic undergraduate programme that equips students with comprehensive knowledge in human movement science, exercise physiology, sports coaching, anatomy, health promotion, and school health education. Students are trained to understand the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of physical activity while developing practical skills in sports administration, physical fitness assessment, and curriculum delivery for physical education in schools.
Graduates of this programme pursue rewarding careers as physical education teachers in secondary and tertiary institutions, sports coaches and administrators, fitness and wellness consultants, and public health educators working with government agencies or non-governmental organisations. Those advancing into sports administration may align with the Sports Federation of Nigeria, while health educators often engage with the National Institute for Health Research and community health frameworks across Nigerian states.
