Admission requirements for Physical Education at Federal College Of Education (Tech.), Omoku, (Affl To Uni. Of Uyo), Rivers State, Rivers State.
i) Five (5) SSC credit passes/TC II merit passes including English Language, Biology or its equivalent. ii) Five (5) SSC credit passes/TC II merit passes to include English Language and Mathematics.
Physical Education is a dynamic university programme that equips students with foundational knowledge in human movement, sports science, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and the psychology of physical activity. Students also explore coaching methodologies, health education, recreation management, and the history and philosophy of sport. Beyond theoretical frameworks, practical training in various sporting disciplines forms a core part of the curriculum. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue rewarding careers as professional coaches, physical education teachers in secondary and tertiary institutions, fitness and wellness consultants, and sports administrators working with state ministries or national sports federations. The Coaches Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria School Sports Federation provide relevant professional platforms for networking and career development within Nigeria's growing sports industry.
