# JAMB Nursing Science Requirements
You must get credit passes in English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology at the O'level.
All five of these subjects are compulsory, so you don't have any choice of subjects to pick from.
Nursing Science is a rigorous undergraduate programme that equips students with the theoretical knowledge and clinical skills needed to deliver quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Students study core subjects including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, maternal and child health, psychiatric nursing, medical-surgical nursing, and community health nursing. Upon completion, graduates can pursue careers as clinical nurses in public and private hospitals, community health educators, nursing educators in academic institutions, or healthcare administrators. The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) regulates professional practice, and registration with the council is mandatory before graduates can legally practice within Nigeria.
