Admission requirements for Mechanical Engineering at Pan-Atlantic University, Km 52 Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, Lagos State.
Credit passes in 5 Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) subjects or its equivalent which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other acceptable science subjects at not more than two sittings. Further Mathematics and Technical Drawing will be of added advantage.
Mechanical Engineering is a rigorous four-to-five year undergraduate programme that equips students with the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes. Students also gain hands-on experience in design, production systems, and maintenance of mechanical equipment through laboratory work and industrial attachments. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers in oil and gas, power generation, automobile maintenance, and manufacturing industries, all of which remain critical sectors of the Nigerian economy. Some graduates also find rewarding opportunities in the construction and aerospace industries. Upon graduation, engineers are expected to register with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, commonly known as COREN, which certifies their professional competence and ensures ethical practice across the engineering sector.
