Students also gain hands-on experience in design, production systems, and maintenance of mechanical equipment through laboratory work and industrial attachments. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers in oil and gas, power generation, automobile maintenance, and manufacturing industries, all of which remain critical sectors of the Nigerian economy. Some graduates also find rewarding opportunities in the construction and aerospace industries. Upon graduation, engineers are expected to register with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, commonly known as COREN, which certifies their professional competence and ensures ethical practice across the engineering sector.
