Admission requirements for Mass Communication at Kanmi Alo Interlink Polytechnic, Ijebu Jesha, Osun State, Osun State.
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language and Mathematics and any three (3) other subjects from: History, Literature in English, Economics/Commerce, Fine Arts, Government, Biology Physics, Chemistry Basic Electricity Geography, Typewriting, Commerce/Principles of Accounting.
Mass Communication equips students with a thorough understanding of media theory, journalism, public relations, advertising, broadcasting, and film production. Students develop practical skills in news writing, media ethics, digital content creation, and strategic communication, preparing them to operate effectively across traditional and emerging media platforms. Graduates pursue rewarding careers as broadcast journalists, public relations consultants, advertising executives, and media producers within Nigeria's growing entertainment and information industry. The programme also opens pathways into corporate communications and political consulting. Relevant professional bodies include the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), which provide professional certification and regulate practice standards across the industry.
