Admission requirements for Leisure & Tourism Management at Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun State, Osun State.
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Geography, a Basic Science subject and two (2) of Economics/Commerce, History, Book Keeping Principles of Accounting, Mathematics, Fine Arts, French Language, Government, Food and Nutrition, Nigerian Language, Home Economics A credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory.
Leisure and Tourism Management equips students with the knowledge and skills required to develop, manage, and promote tourism destinations, hospitality services, recreational facilities, and cultural heritage sites. Students explore subjects including tourism planning, event management, hospitality operations, eco-tourism, marketing, and entrepreneurship, gaining both theoretical grounding and practical exposure to Nigeria's growing tourism industry. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as tourism officers with state or federal agencies, hotel and resort managers, event and entertainment coordinators, or travel consultants running their own agencies. The Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation provides a regulatory and professional framework that guides practice in the sector, while membership of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria further enhances professional credibility and networking opportunities for practitioners.
