Horticultural Technology equips students with practical and theoretical knowledge in the cultivation, processing, and management of fruits, vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, and landscaping crops. Students explore plant propagation, soil science, pest and disease management, post-harvest technology, and nursery operations, gaining hands-on skills applicable across Nigeria's growing agricultural sector. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as horticulturalists, landscape designers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, and agricultural extension officers serving both public and private sector organisations. The programme also prepares graduates for opportunities in food processing companies and government agricultural agencies. Professional alignment with the Agricultural Society of Nigeria and the Horticultural Society of Nigeria further strengthens graduates' standing within the industry, opening doors to networking, continuous development, and credible professional practice across the country.
