Admission requirements for Geography at University Of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, Oyo State.
Five (5) &sqO&sq level subjects at one sitting or 6 &sqO&sq level subjects at two sittings to include: English Language, Mathematics, and any of three or four Science subjects.
Geography is a dynamic discipline that examines the physical and human dimensions of the Earth, exploring how natural environments, spatial patterns, population distribution, climate systems, and land use interact across different scales. Students engage with core areas such as cartography, geomorphology, urban and regional planning, environmental management, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), gaining both fieldwork experience and technical analytical skills. Professional advancement is supported through bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) and the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC), particularly for those specialising in planning-related pathways.
