The programme blends fieldwork, archival research, and analytical writing, producing graduates with strong critical thinking and research competencies. Career opportunities span town planning and environmental consulting, secondary school teaching under the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, roles within the National Archives or cultural heritage institutions, and positions in the civil service, journalism, or international development organisations. Graduates may also pursue postgraduate research in history, geography, or related social science disciplines.
