At least five O’ Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject, in not more than two sittings.
Fisheries and Aquaculture is a four-year undergraduate programme that equips students with scientific and practical knowledge in fish biology, aquaculture management, fisheries economics, water quality management, and seafood processing. Students gain hands-on experience in fish farming techniques, hatchery operations, and sustainable management of Nigeria's rich aquatic resources across rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. The curriculum also covers fisheries legislation, post-harvest technology, and environmental conservation. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as aquaculture farm managers, fisheries officers with state and federal agencies, researchers in marine science institutes, or agribusiness entrepreneurs in Nigeria's growing fish production industry.
