Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Christian Religious Studies, Literature in English and any other Arts subject.
English/Christian Religious Studies is a combined honours programme that equips students with strong competencies in language, literature, biblical studies, theology, and moral philosophy. Students explore the mechanics of the English language alongside the historical, doctrinal, and ethical dimensions of Christianity, gaining analytical, communicative, and critical thinking skills highly valued across multiple sectors. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers in secondary school teaching, where registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria is required, as well as in journalism, publishing, media, and pastoral ministry. Those drawn to academic careers may proceed to postgraduate studies in theology, linguistics, or education. The programme produces versatile graduates capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria's educational, cultural, and religious landscape.
