Education and Political Science is a combined degree programme that equips students with a deep understanding of governance, public policy, political theories, and the principles of teaching and learning. Students explore subjects such as comparative politics, Nigerian government, curriculum development, educational psychology, and research methods. The programme bridges the gap between civic leadership and classroom instruction, producing graduates who are versatile and analytically sound. Career opportunities in Nigeria are broad and include teaching at secondary schools, working with the National Assembly, pursuing roles in public administration, or building careers within civil society organisations and non-governmental bodies. Graduates may register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) to practice professionally in the education sector, while those pursuing policy careers often align with relevant government ministries and agencies.
