Education and Geography is a combined degree programme that equips students with foundational knowledge in geographical sciences alongside pedagogical skills for effective classroom teaching. Students explore physical and human geography, including topics such as cartography, climatology, urban planning, environmental studies, and regional development, while also gaining professional teacher training across curriculum design, educational psychology, and instructional methodology. Those entering the teaching profession are expected to register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, which regulates and professionalises teaching practice nationwide.
