Education & French is a dynamic combined degree programme that equips students with both pedagogical skills and proficiency in the French language. Students engage with core educational theories, curriculum development, classroom management, and the linguistic structures of French, including spoken and written communication at advanced levels. Given Nigeria's strategic position bordering several Francophone countries, graduates are exceptionally well-positioned for rewarding careers. Career paths include secondary school teaching, where registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is mandatory, as well as roles in translation and interpretation, cultural diplomacy within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and educational administration. Graduates may also pursue opportunities with international organisations operating across West Africa's French-speaking nations, making this programme both nationally relevant and globally competitive.
