Education and Computer Science is a dual-discipline programme that equips students with both pedagogical skills and technical computing knowledge. Students study core education courses such as curriculum development, educational psychology, and teaching methodology, alongside computer science subjects including programming, data structures, algorithms, and database management. Graduates emerge well-positioned to pursue careers as secondary school computer science teachers, educational technology specialists, software developers, or ICT coordinators within government ministries and private organisations. Those entering the teaching profession may register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, while those advancing into software development and ICT consulting can affiliate with the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria. The programme remains highly relevant given Nigeria's growing emphasis on technology-driven education and digital literacy nationwide.
