About Criminology & Security Studies

Criminology and Security Studies is a dynamic social science programme that equips students with a deep understanding of crime patterns, criminal behaviour, national security threats, law enforcement systems, and correctional administration. Students explore courses spanning forensic science, intelligence gathering, cybercrime, terrorism studies, border security, and criminal justice policy, preparing them to analyse and respond to Nigeria's evolving security challenges. Graduates are well-positioned to build careers as crime analysts, security consultants, immigration officers, prison administrators, and intelligence operatives within agencies such as the Nigeria Police Force, DSS, NDLEA, and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
