Four (4) SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCEO/L/NABTEB/GRADE II TC/ credit passes in English Language, CRS, Yoruba and One (1) other relevant subject. WAIVER: OYSCOED, LANLATE accepts at least a pass in Mathematics. CONDITIONAL ADMISSION: OYSCOED, LANLATE offers conditional admission to candidates with 3 credits passes but with an ordinary pass in any of the above listed subjects PRE-NCE ADMISSION: OYSCOED, LANLATE offers Pre-NCE admission to candidates with 2 credit passes but with F9 in either Mathematics or English Language
Christian Religious Studies/Yoruba is a combined honours programme that equips students with deep knowledge of Christian theology, biblical studies, church history, and the rich linguistic and cultural heritage of the Yoruba people. Students explore sacred texts, indigenous African religion, Yoruba oral literature, phonology, morphology, and the socio-cultural dimensions of Southwestern Nigerian society. The programme nurtures critical thinking, cultural appreciation, and spiritual formation simultaneously. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as secondary school teachers registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), clergy or religious educators, cultural ambassadors and translators, or media and communications professionals specialising in indigenous content.
