YABATECH requires five (5) O Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other subject from the followings: Biology, Agric. Science, Economics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Basic Electronics and Metal Works.
Chemical Engineering Technology equips students with practical and theoretical knowledge in chemical processes, process control, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and industrial safety. Unlike the conventional Chemical Engineering degree, this technology-focused programme emphasises hands-on technical skills required to operate, maintain, and optimise industrial plants and manufacturing facilities. Students also study instrumentation, quality control, environmental management, and petrochemical processing, preparing them for real-world industrial demands. Graduates can pursue rewarding careers in Nigeria's oil and gas sector, food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and petrochemical industries. Registered engineers under the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, commonly known as COREN, must meet professional standards, and graduates are encouraged to pursue full registration to enhance their career prospects and professional credibility within Nigeria's growing industrial landscape.
