Building Technology is a dynamic and practical-oriented programme that equips students with the technical knowledge and skills required to plan, execute, and supervise construction projects. Students study subjects such as structural engineering principles, building materials, construction management, environmental control, surveying, and project costing, blending theoretical foundations with hands-on laboratory and site experience. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as construction managers, building contractors, quantity surveyors, or facilities managers across Nigeria's rapidly growing real estate and infrastructure sectors. The Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) serves as the primary regulatory body for professionals in this field, ensuring practitioners meet national competency standards. Career opportunities exist in government ministries, private construction firms, oil and gas companies, and property development organisations nationwide.
