You must get credit passes in five O'level subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science. For your fifth credit, you can choose any one subject from Geography, Physics, or Economics.
Agricultural Economics and Extension is a dynamic programme that equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the economic dimensions of agricultural production, food systems, and rural development in Nigeria. Students study core areas such as farm management, agricultural policy, commodity markets, project analysis, rural sociology, and extension communication — learning how to bridge the gap between research institutions and farming communities. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as agricultural economists, extension officers, agribusiness consultants, and policy analysts in federal and state ministries of agriculture, development agencies, financial institutions, and international organisations like FAO.
