Surveying and Geo-Informatics is a four to five-year undergraduate programme that trains students in the science of measuring, mapping, and analysing the physical environment. Students gain knowledge in land surveying, geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, photogrammetry, cartography, and cadastral mapping. The curriculum blends fieldwork with modern digital tools, preparing graduates to handle spatial data for informed decision-making. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as land surveyors, GIS analysts, urban and regional planners, or remote sensing specialists — roles in high demand across government agencies, oil and gas companies, real estate firms, and urban development authorities. Graduates are eligible for registration with the Survey Registration Council of Nigeria (SURCON) and can advance into the Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) related pathways with further qualifications.
