Social Studies/Christian Religious Studies is a combined degree programme that equips students with a broad understanding of human society, cultural values, civic education, and the foundations of Christian faith and theology. Students explore topics such as social institutions, ethics, Nigerian history, Biblical studies, church history, and the relationship between religion and society. The programme prepares graduates for diverse careers in education as secondary school teachers, religious ministry and pastoral work, community development and NGO leadership, as well as roles in the civil service and public administration. Teachers from this programme are eligible for registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), which regulates professional teaching practice across the country and enhances career credibility and employment prospects.
