Radiography and Radiation Science is a four to five year undergraduate programme that trains students in the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of radiation in healthcare. Students study anatomy, physiology, radiographic techniques, radiation physics, image interpretation, patient care, and radiation protection, alongside practical clinical placements in hospital settings. The programme equips graduates with the technical competence to operate imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, ultrasound scanners, CT scanners, and MRI units. Upon graduation, career opportunities include working as diagnostic radiographers in hospitals, therapeutic radiographers in oncology centres, radiation safety officers, and medical imaging consultants in both public and private healthcare institutions across Nigeria.
