Primary Education Studies (Double Major) is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge in early childhood and primary school pedagogy. Students explore two complementary subject areas simultaneously, gaining expertise in curriculum development, child psychology, classroom management, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques tailored to the Nigerian primary school system. The double major structure allows graduates to teach across multiple subject disciplines effectively. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as primary school teachers, curriculum developers, educational administrators, or education consultants within public and private institutions. Graduates are eligible for registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), which regulates professional teaching practice across the country, and may also explore opportunities within the Universal Basic Education Commission framework.
