Pharmaceutical Technology is a four-year undergraduate programme that equips students with both the scientific and technical knowledge required to develop, manufacture, and quality-control medicinal products. Students study core subjects including pharmaceutical chemistry, microbiology, drug formulation, industrial pharmacy, and regulatory affairs, gaining hands-on laboratory experience throughout their training. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as pharmaceutical production officers in manufacturing companies, quality assurance analysts, regulatory affairs specialists with NAFDAC, or hospital pharmacy technologists. The programme also opens doors into medical sales and distribution. Professional registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria remains relevant for graduates seeking formal practice licences, ensuring they meet nationally recognised standards before entering Nigeria's rapidly expanding pharmaceutical industry.
