Nursing Sciences is a rigorous and rewarding programme that equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills essential for delivering quality healthcare. Students study anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, midwifery, community health nursing, and psychiatric nursing, among other core disciplines. Hands-on training in hospital settings forms a critical part of the curriculum, preparing graduates for real-world patient care. Upon completion, graduates can pursue careers as registered nurses in public and private hospitals, midwives, nursing educators, or public health officers working with government agencies. The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) regulates professional practice, and registration with the council is mandatory before graduates can legally practise anywhere across Nigeria.
