Metal Work Technology is a technical programme designed to equip students with practical and theoretical knowledge in the fabrication, casting, welding, forging, and finishing of metal components. Students explore engineering drawing, materials science, machine operation, and industrial safety, preparing them for hands-on roles in manufacturing and production environments. The curriculum bridges traditional craftsmanship with modern industrial techniques, ensuring graduates are workforce-ready from day one. Upon graduation, students can pursue careers as welding engineers, fabrication supervisors, production technicians, or metal work instructors in technical colleges. Entrepreneurs often establish metal fabrication workshops serving construction and automobile sectors. Graduates may register with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, COREN, to practice professionally and gain full industry recognition.
