Integrated Science/Mathematics Education is a degree programme designed to equip students with both the theoretical foundations and practical teaching skills needed to deliver science and mathematics instruction at the secondary school level. Students study core areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics alongside curriculum development, educational psychology, and pedagogical methods. The programme blends subject-matter competence with professional teaching practice, ensuring graduates are well-rounded educators. Upon completion, graduates can pursue careers as secondary school science and mathematics teachers, educational curriculum developers, examination officers with bodies like WAEC or NECO, and education administrators within state and federal ministries. Graduates are eligible for registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), which regulates professional teaching practice across the country.
