Forestry and Wildlife Management is a four-year undergraduate programme that equips students with practical and theoretical knowledge of forest ecosystems, wildlife conservation, timber management, land use planning, and environmental sustainability. Students explore subjects such as silviculture, forest mensuration, wildlife ecology, soil science, and conservation biology, gaining hands-on field experience across Nigeria's diverse ecological zones. Graduates are well-positioned to build careers as forest officers with the Federal or State Ministries of Environment, wildlife conservationists, environmental consultants, or research scientists with institutions focused on natural resource management. The Forestry Association of Nigeria (FAN) remains the key professional body guiding practice in this field, while opportunities also exist within international conservation organisations operating across the country.
