**English and French Studies**
Combining the depth of English language and literature with the communicative power of French, this programme equips students with strong analytical, linguistic, and cross-cultural communication skills. Students explore literary theory, creative writing, translation, francophone literature, applied linguistics, and oral communication across both languages. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue rewarding careers as translators and interpreters, diplomats and foreign service officers, journalists and media professionals, or educators at secondary and tertiary levels. Those venturing into teaching may register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), while aspiring journalists align with the Nigerian Press Council.
