Education and Christian Religious Studies is a combined degree programme that equips students with foundational knowledge in educational theories, pedagogical methods, and the principles of Christian theology and biblical studies. Students examine the history of Christianity, comparative religious thought, moral education, and curriculum development, while also gaining practical teaching skills applicable across various learning environments. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue careers as secondary school teachers, curriculum developers, educational administrators, and religious education consultants within government and private institutions. The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) remains the primary professional body regulating teaching practice, and registration is essential for classroom deployment. Additional opportunities exist within faith-based organisations, pastoral ministry, and non-governmental organisations focused on community development and values education across Nigeria.
