Christian Religious Studies/Social Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that equips students with deep knowledge of Christian theology, biblical studies, ethical frameworks, and the social, political, and cultural dynamics shaping human societies. Students examine sacred texts, church history, comparative religion, sociology, civic education, and Nigerian cultural heritage, developing strong analytical, communication, and moral reasoning skills. Graduates are well-positioned to pursue rewarding careers as educators in secondary and tertiary institutions, religious counsellors, community development officers, and civil society advocates working with NGOs and government agencies. Those advancing in education often register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), which certifies qualified practitioners across the country. The programme ultimately produces graduates of strong character and intellectual depth, capable of contributing meaningfully to Nigeria's social and moral development.
